Motorola, Inc. announced a new rugged mobility solution aimed at improving the productivity of warehouse workers – the WT4090 Voice-only Wearable (VOW) Terminal and the RCH50 Rugged Cabled Headset. This easy-to-use, rugged solution can replace paper-based processes with voice-directed solutions in demanding enterprise environments – in the warehouse, in the freezer, on the loading dock or on the factory floor – resulting in real-time processing, reduced errors and improved decision making.

Motorola, Inc. announced that it has successfully deployed a Time Division Duplex Long-Term Evolution (TD-LTE) network in the streets of Geneva to support China Mobile Communications Corporation's (CMCC) presence at the Geneva PALEXPO during ITU Telecom World 2009.

Motorola Home & Networks Mobility business announced the launch of its WiMAX Device Partnership Program. This service helps device providers qualify their WiMAX products through Motorola's comprehensive interoperability testing (IOT) laboratories and provides operators with greater access to WiMAX devices. This program works with device vendors and 4G operators to increase future WiMAX growth by offering broader end-to-end solutions to include a range of devices for market compatibility.

The Home & Networks Mobility business of Motorola, Inc. announced the launch of its Long Term Evolution (LTE) Evolved Packet Core (EPC) solution — the Wireless Broadband Core (WBC) 700 portfolio. The Motorola WBC 700 solution is comprised of Motorola's mobility management entity (MME), packet and serving gateways (P-GW and S-GW), and a policy and charging rules function server (PCRF).

Building on its well-established lead as a premier supplier of WiMAX infrastructure and customer premises equipment to network operators around the world, the Home & Networks Mobility business of Motorola, Inc. announced the WAP 650 series access point. The WAP 650 series, an upgrade from Motorola's WAP 450 series, allows WiMAX operators to reach a broader customer base more efficiently with 50 percent higher coverage while lowering total cost of ownership up to 30 percent.
