GPS Based Cardio Trainer for Android G1

The Cardio Trainer, a GPS-based workout tracking application for Android by WorkSmartLabs, is available free on the Android Market. It tracks your workouts and keeps a record, syncing wth a Web app that allows you to view your workouts on larger screen.

The application is easy to use. Launching it calls up a start screen, and pushing the "Start" button gets the timers and GPS tracker started. Just tuck the phone away and go about your business. Make sure your phone's GPS has a lock on your position before setting off; otherwise Cardio Trainer might not track your position. When workout is done, touch "Pause" and Cardio Trainer offers the position of returning to the start menu or viewing the path you just traveled.

The facility to "View Track" brings up a map of where you have just gone. The app notes your starting and ending points and the path you followed. It lists total distance, total time, minimum speed, maximum speed, average speed and whether you gained any altitude by "View Statistics."

Cardio Trainer also allows you to register online and view your tracks on its Web site. Users can register by their phones, also provides a facility to manage your video on Web site. User can set up the time or distance intervals with the Audio notification.
