The IDrive Portable measures 74 mm x 120 mm x 10 mm (Width x Length x Height) at a weight of around 130 grams. It features a built-in 2.5" HDD, which offers a 320GB storage capacity at 5400RPM speed and a 12 ms average read seek time. Much in the same way as most other devices connecting to a computer via USB, this HDD can also reach a maximum data transfer rate of around 480 MB/s.

The IDrive is quite different then other USB drives that commanly used, since it also sports an 'IDrive Online Backup' option, which lets users sign up and set up backup to an IDrive online backup account, which has a similar look and feel to the actual software.
