Sixty-three songs from eligible feature-length motion pictures are contending for nominations in the Original Song category for the 82nd Academy Awards, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced.

Mariah Carey is going to drop a new single January 4, 2010, according to Mariah Daily. Instead of picking up one of the singles from her latest studio project "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" however, she allegedly will release a track from one of her forthcoming remix albums. She will drop a remix of "Angel's Cry" and team up with Ne-Yo.
