Renesas Technology America, Inc., announced the SH7761, a 32-bit microprocessor for car information equipment, such as telematics devices providing travel services via wireless communication links and hands-free systems, that delivers high-speed operation at 400 MHz and advanced features essential for next-generation systems, including high-speed communication, sophisticated voice recognition, and improved connectivity with onboard LANs and memory cards. Sample shipments will begin in August 2009.
